Summery Daisy Friends

I do like making clean and simple cards and with using this stunning Daisy Friends stamp, then its so easy!  I first of all made the card blank with white linen effect card and cut the aperture with a circle die.  The Daisy Friends stamp was inked up and I stamped it directly through the aperture, coloured it with Promarkers and then used dry watercolour pencils for the background.  The sentiments were stamped on off-cuts of the same card and then added around the frame.

And to give it a bit more interest, I added some cute die cut LDRS Dotted Wings Butterflies, added some half pearls from the Magic Sparkles embellishment pack to their centres and five around the top left of the circle aperture.

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 50 - Melonheadz

Time for a new Colour Crazy challenge and this week we are sponsored by Melonheadz!  The theme as always is

Anything Goes

I've used the little boy and girl from the Snow Day bundle, coloured them with Promarkers then added to the white hammered card blank with foam pads for a bit of depth.

I've cut a background from off cuts of the same card using a steel die with a sticthed edge and then added the hand written Sizzix tag.

Half pearls and embroidery thread are from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Shabby Chic

Bit of a shabby chic card here using some wonderful Stampin' Unicorn products!  Both papers are taken from the Butterfly Dreams 6x6 paper pad (the paper is really good quality and nice and sturdy which makes it great to rough up!)  The sentiment is from the Bits and Pieces Ephemera 6x6 paper pack (again, I've lightly distressed the edges).

The flowers are beautiful and I've curled some thin strips of the paper which were left over after trimming - flowers and half pearls from the Heavenly Dreams Embellishment pack.

Last Tree In The Shop

Here is a card for those who leave getting their Christmas Tree until the very last possible moment.  Having said that, one year our tree did look like this come Christmas Day as all the needles dropped off!  I've used Last Tree In The Shop from Dr Digi and coloured it with Promarkers.  I've been having a sort out with all the craft papers I have printed and found these in my stash - they are that old that they've been retired!

The base card is from a great pack I bought a while ago from Lidl and the ribbons and charm are from my stash.

Pretty Petals

Hello! Sometimes dies just make the most wonderful flowers!  I'm using products from Stampin' Unicorn that can be bought through the Polkadoodles website. Here I've used papers from the Wonderland paper pad and balanced the pinks with one of the ditty flower papers from the Itsy Ditsy paper pad then used a few different sizes of the LDRS Pierced Ovals dies.

I've also cut the aperture of the flower with one of the larger dies.  The sentiment is from the large grab bag of toppers and to finish, the little flower pearl and half pearl on the topper is from the Magic Sparkles embellishment pack.  Ribbon is from my own stash.

Even though it looks quite complex, it was pretty quick to make!  I'd like to enter the following:

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 49 - Dr Digi

Time for a new Colour Crazy Challenge!  This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Dr Digi and I've used Christmas Chris as he makes me chuckle every time!

I've coloured him with Promarkers and added glossy accents to his nose.  I found the gold card blank in my stash when I was having a clear out and the stripy card is the back of a Graze box which I've cut with one of my wavy stitched edge dies.

Half pearls, red parcel twine and the two charms are from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Not A Card

It's time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme, as always is

Anything Goes

The Design Team were challenge to make something other than a card and I've made these cute crackers and gift boxes using papers from Winnie White Christmas and added sparkly thin tinsel plus some really cute tree baubles I bought from Primark.  The tops of the baubles came off really easy with a twist (well, what do you expect when you're getting 30 for £2?!) and I used glossy accents to stick them to the boxes and crackers.

I made the bows with offcuts of card (so not to waste anything) and put some treats inside the boxes and crackers.  They were actually quite quick to make - just had to be patient with the glossy accents drying!

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 147 - Boxes

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

I've made these cute gift boxes with a Sizzix box die - really easy as all I needed to do was score, fold and stick! The card is a lovely hammered effect which looks a bit snowy!  I've added gift tags from the offcuts with another Sizzix die and the bows have been made with card I found in my stash and added mini glittered baubles that I bought from Primark.

The clasp bit at the top of the bauble came off really easily so I was able to glue the flat bit directly to the centre of the bow.  And as luck would have it, the baubles matched papers from my stash!

Good luck with the challenge!

Small Beginnings

I have a new Stampin' Unicorn project to share today that I've made with a wonderful stamp set - Small Beginnings.  There are 8 individual stamps in the set and they can be used to layer up the flowers.  I've used the largest stamp as the main image (the dies are Sizzix) and then added the sentiment onto a circle die cut.

I've added liquid pearl dots around the edges of the image, card and sentiment.  And I've used Promarkers to colour.  Look out for more from the DT - we've loved these stamps and have lots to show you!  You can still catch the show on Hochanda and all the products can be bought through Hochanda or the main stockist Polkadoodles.
